The Filipino American Community of the Carolinas (FACC) will hold its first fundraiser event for 2026 with LOL: Love Out Loud, a pre-Valentine celebration of comedy, dancing and lots of karaoke singing! The FACC has partnered with Musikaramay (two Filipino words Musika + Karamay, when combined translates to companion or to help), a Filipino non-profit organization which had its origins from civic-minded individuals busking around the metro and donating the earnings to struggling street musicians. The organization has evolved to helping different marginalized sectors or giving financial assistance to different foundations. The LOL event will benefit a four year-old quadriplegic, blind and mute girl needing medical assistance. FACC, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been serving the Filipino American community in the region and bridging them to other communities for more than thirty years.
